Identity Formation- Socialisation, Your Body and Your Self-image
The generation of young people who leave their digital fingerprints for all to see continues to grow. Their online relationships are largely unexamined, and self-examination is not as it was even 20 years ago.
How did you become the person you are?
In other words; what was it that influenced and shaped your identity?
How does the cultivation of the body relate to your identity? What dangers are there when an idealized image of self takes over and performance-enhancing drugs are used?
When you have worked through this book, you will have created your own book, with tasks and notes for later use.
The book is designed to be used at several levels of Social Studies classes, from age 12 through adult education as well as interdisciplinary classes. It contains an introduction to socialisation and looks into the new generations' use of social media.
